About Us

Welcome to RURU.

We make furniture for homes with cats in them. Not plastic hoods in the corner of the bathroom, not carpeted towers you hide when guests come over — litter cabinets that read as sideboards, cat trees in solid wood, wall shelves that look like they were part of the plan.

The idea came from a small apartment and a cat who deserved better than a corner of it. We kept running into the same trade-off: buy what the cat needs and live with how it looks, or buy what looks good and watch the cat ignore it. So we started choosing for both.

What we look for

• Furniture first — if it would not sit well in your living room, it does not make the shelf
• Solid materials over printed particle board
• Sized for real cats, including the big ones
• Easy to clean, because you are the one cleaning it

We add slowly and cut often. A small range we can stand behind beats a large one we cannot.

Thank you for choosing RURU.
